PALS SkyHope medical flights ensure that children facing chronic and life-threatening illnesses can access the health care they need.

PALS SkyHope has flown Piper on more than 20 missions since 2017. Piper was born with multiple congenital heart defects—by the age of 1 she had undergone 7 open-heart surgeries. Piper and her family travel from their home in Rochester, New York, to Boston Children’s Hospital often for lifesaving treatments. The drive from Rochester to Boston takes 8 hours. With PALS SkyHope, it’s a 1-hour flight.
