GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND TO LIFT PEOPLE UP

Free Medical Flights that Connect

The Patient AirLift Services’ network of volunteer pilots provide free regional medical flights and receive no compensation, using their own or rented aircraft. No fees of any kind are charged for these services. We don't provide ground transportation but can help coordinate ground transportation for you.

Generally, the individuals who turn to PALS for air transportation are receiving diagnosis, medical treatment or follow-up for acute or chronic healthcare conditions and cannot afford commercial or charter flights.

We're so proud of our Veterans!

PALS flew Travis Mills and his wife. Mills is a retired United States Army soldier who became a quadruple amputee while serving in Afghanistan.

He speaks across the country, motivating others to live by his motto:

"Never give up. Never quit."

PALS has been a supportive partner to the Travis Mills Foundation retreats held for military personnel but most of the retreats were cancelled due to COVID.  PALS flew Mills to Dallas, Texas where he participated in a 2 week course with an Adaptive Training Foundation.

Theresa Reer & Veteran Service Dog

During Army Captain Theresa Reer’s service in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, she sustained severe injuries, including orthopedic, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

“Being united with my service dog is paramount in gaining independence both at home and in the community,” Reer said.

On a free flight from PALS, Reer arrived in New York on Sunday, September 27th and met her service dog Oscar. “Oscar will make a big difference in my life,” said Reer. “As long as Oscar is by my side, I’m all good.” After seven days of onsite training together at America’s VetDogs, Reer and Oscar were flown back home.

Travis Mills Flight

"I remain ever grateful to the organization for the mission to provide medical and therapeutic flights to wounded soldiers/veterans; the respite from treatment was amazing, and not one that I'll ever forget. Please continue to the wonderful service to the community. Everything about my experience with PALS was amazing, 5 Stars and beyond!

My favorite part of the trip was when we were given a private tour of Fenway Park which ended in the Owners Suite where we met Alex Rodriguez and the Commissioner of Baseball Rob Manfred (We saw JLo as well). The Commissioner and A-Rod signed memorabilia for us, took photos and spoke with us for a few minutes before the game resumed. All in all, this was an amazing trip and much needed for wounded warriors like myself and the guys on the trip with me...I would like to thank PALS and their partner MLB for such a wonderful trip, generosity, and hospitality.

Best Regards,
Sharod Wade"

We flew a group of amazing Veterans to attend an on-field Batting Practice, however, it was cancelled due to rain.  Instead the group was able to meet MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and Alex Rodriguez.  A great time was had by all!
