Your dedication and compassion are truly inspiring, and we are endlessly grateful for your time, skills, and the love you pour into each mission. Thank you for being our heroes in the sky. Thank you Dave and Elaine for all you do for PALS!
|
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Elaine and Dave for their incredible contribution to PALS SkyHope. Your commitment has made a real difference in providing much-needed medical transportation for Northern Maine. Your journey with us has been enriched by the wonderful connections you've made, especially with our dedicated pilots. “When Rinette Jandreau asked us to get involved with PALS SkyHope and since we have known her for many years it seemed the natural thing to do. Volunteering for PALS SkyHope means that we can play a small part in badly needed medical transportation for so many here in Northern Maine and the need is great.
We have had some very special experiences since we started. First and foremost has been meeting all the very special pilots. It seems that Annie and Jim has taken us under their (wing), and of course Rinette has been a great coach and encourager.” - Dave & Elaine

PALS SkyHope Receives 700 Vouchers from Southwest
|
PALS SkyHope is immensely grateful to Southwest Airlines for their generous donation of 700 vouchers through the Medical Transportation Grant Program. These complimentary tickets will play a pivotal role in enhancing our ability to serve medical patients and their families, ensuring they can access specialized medical care without the burden of travel expenses. By providing reliable and timely transportation, particularly when volunteer pilots are unavailable, these vouchers are crucial in overcoming challenges such as weather conditions, safety concerns, and longer-distance travel that private planes may not handle efficiently.
This donation will have a profound impact on our mission, allowing us to continue offering free flights to individuals in need. With over 2,700 flights per year, these 700 vouchers will alleviate the stress and financial strain on patients, enabling them to focus on their health and recovery. We deeply appreciate Southwest Airlines' support and partnership, which allows us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we are ensuring that no one is left without options due to travel constraints, and we look forward to the positive impact these vouchers will have on our community.

Team PALS Runner - Sheeren’s Story
|
We are excited to share that Shereen will be running her first marathon this year with Team PALS SkyHope. This race is deeply personal for her, as running was once a significant part of her life. After tragically losing both her high school track coach and father to cancer, she found it too painful to continue.
Recently, Shereen has been rediscovering her love for the sport, often running through Central Park and the West Side Highway. One of her father’s dreams was for them to run the NYC Marathon together. While she can’t have him by her side, Shereen is honored to fulfill part of that dream by running in his memory this year.
In addition to her personal journey, Shereen is proud to support PALS SkyHope, an organization providing crucial aviation support for medical, military, and humanitarian efforts. Coming from a family of healthcare workers, she understands the importance of such services for those in need.
Shereen’s journey is a tribute to resilience, a celebration of running, and a way to support an incredible cause. Here's to the realization of a dream and the start of a new chapter!

I’m reaching out so that I can express our appreciation for providing medical transportation for my daughter, Morgan. Amanda and Courtney have done an exceptional job coordinating our transport to and from our recent consultation, the procedure she had this week, and the upcoming surgery. They have been caring and accommodating during such a time of uncertainty.
I’m not sure if you are aware of Morgan’s situation. Morgan has been chronically ill for the past 11 years. Her life basically stopped after the onset of her illness. We live in Rhode Island and her GI doctor here advised that she find a doctor out of state because her case is very complicated. We’ve been to countless physicians and surgeons around the country and fortunately, we were finally able to find a GI specialist that potentially can help Morgan by placing a gastric stimulator into Morgan’s stomach. Morgan is typically hospitalized more than 200 days each year. We are praying that this GI doctor can finally help to minimize the number of hospitalizations, but most importantly, help Morgan to start being able to live a “normal” life. I don’t know what we would have been able to do, had it not been for your generosity.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you immensely and praise Courtney and Amanda for being so wonderful in helping us to plan our travel down to Kentucky.
Yours Truly,
Michele
